  • Define and list general terms related to ethics & stress (Ethics, Ethical dilemmas, Ethical principles, Stress, Burnout & Compassion Fatigue)
  • Restate and list ethical definitions and why they are important in decision-making.
  • Demonstrate and explain the skill to assess stress that effects your ethical decision making as a practicing social worker.
  • Explain and list how stress can have a positive and negative impact on an individual stress
  • Facilitate a personal role play and describe goals to engage in the practice of self management when dealing with stress and burnout. (Stress Management)

Relevance to Social Work:

  • Developing an understanding of the affects of stress on social workers and their ethical decision making.

  • Develop individual cultural awareness on how to assess one’s own stress.

  • Using practical social work individual exercises that can be taken back to their work and used to maintain stress levels.
