Description
Implementing MTSS to Boost Efficiency and Enhance Student Outcomes
This course equips educators and administrators with the knowledge and tools to implement a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework within their organization. Through interactive sessions and practical exercises, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of MTSS, its evolution within intervention systems, and its effectiveness in improving student outcomes.
The Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) has emerged as a powerful framework for improving student learning, behavior, and overall well-being. Designed for educators, school leaders, and administrators, this course provides a comprehensive exploration of how MTSS can be effectively implemented to streamline intervention practices and drive meaningful student growth.
Participants will gain a clear understanding of the foundations of MTSS, including its core principles, tiers of support, and benefits for all learners. The course will trace the evolution of intervention systems, highlighting how MTSS integrates and expands upon previous models such as Response to Intervention (RTI) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). Through interactive discussions and hands-on activities, participants will learn how to align resources, use data-driven decision-making, and implement evidence-based interventions with fidelity.
This training emphasizes not only the “what” of MTSS but also the “how.” Educators will explore opportunities to streamline existing systems for greater efficiency, reduce duplication of efforts, and create a cohesive approach to academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support. Special attention will be given to using data objectively and consistently—helping schools to make informed decisions, monitor progress, and evaluate outcomes across all tiers of support.
By the end of this course, participants will be equipped with actionable strategies to strengthen collaboration among staff, promote equity in student support, and create sustainable practices that enhance both educator effectiveness and student success. Whether your school is just beginning to explore MTSS or seeking to refine existing systems, this course offers the tools, insights, and practical guidance needed to build a strong and responsive framework for all learners.
