Rachel Wilson (Murgor) is a rainbow-belly birthing-lactating momma, holistic doula and perinatal mental health therapist in summary.
Rachel is originally from Philadelphia where she learned early on that the path she wished for would require barriers to be torn apart and norms to be redefined.
She went on to Bloomsburg University of PA for her Bachelors of Arts in Criminal Justice and Psychology. Immediately after Bloomsburg she began her graduate career at West Chester University of PA commencing in 2016 with a Masters of Social Work.
Rachel’s passion for maternal physical and mental health was birthed out of her own experiences as a young black woman trying to navigate her own reproductive health. She was brushed off and neglected by providers that now happen to be her colleagues. Regardless of the letters that follow her name she never forgets those experiences. In fact she allows it to drive her work and support her community.
In 2021 she was given the opportunity to receive doula training and certification by way of Black Mothers in Power and later receiving training as a perinatal mental health professional.
Rachel’s goal is to support, educate and promote wellness in all birthing people, encourage them to advocate for themselves and when they are unable to do so, have someone that can advocate for them!
